Alexis Tracy, DO, is a dedicated Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) specialist at Somerset Spine & Nerve in Medford, Oregon. With a strong educational background and a passion for improving patients’ quality of life, she brings a wealth of expertise to her practice.
Dr. Tracy earned dual degrees in literature and biology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She went on to receive her medical education at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM), where she was honored as the Student DO of the Year. Following medical school, she completed an internship at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons, and then specialized in PM&R through residency training at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Tracy has extensive experience in non-operative spine care. Her areas of expertise include spine imaging interpretation, clinical examination skills, interventional spine procedures (such as spinal injections), and electrodiagnostics (including EMG and nerve conduction studies). As an Interventional Spine Specialist, she provides comprehensive, nonsurgical care for patients with spine-related conditions.
Dr. Tracy was drawn to the field of PM&R by her optimistic perspective and deep belief in the power of rehabilitation to improve lives. Her goal is to help patients fully understand their diagnoses and manage symptoms and limitations using innovative, individualized approaches. While she focuses on non-operative spine care, she also provides referrals to spinal surgery when necessary.
